It's time for answers

11-Aug-2018

On September 19, the campaign for a HRA4Q is teaming up with QUT Law School, Queensland Council of Civil Liberties and Australian Lawyers for Human Rights to offer an event discussing where our Human Rights Act is, what it might contain, how it will be of benefit and how the push for this important reform can be sustained.

UNSW's constitutional and human rights law expert George Williams AO will give a keynote address. His address will be followed by reflections from a range of Queenslanders. In his submission to Queensland's Human Rights Inquiry in 2016 Mr. Williams suggested that if lessons from the ACT and Victoria are properly taken into account "Queensland stands to gain the best-drafted human rights act in the country."

Tickets are free but strictly limited, registrations are via Eventbrite.
